WHAT TO EXPECT
What is the curriculum for a Guided Lesson?
In addition to working on the skills that you make me aware of, we will cover the following topics:
The body of water being worked
Breakdown of the species being targeted
The seasons and how they affect the species being targeted
Current water conditions
Reading the water
Selecting flies based on the hatch and fish behavior
Casting
Presentation techniques
Mending and line management
Wading safety
Hook-setting and playing fish
Proper fish handling
Knot Tying
Sharpening hooks
What are the requirements?
There are absolutely no requirements to take a lesson. Guided Lessons are perfect for beginners and intermediate anglers alike.
What should I bring?
Fishing license
Polarized Sunglasses
Weather appropriate clothing
We suggest using your own gear, if you have it. Otherwise, we can provide rod, reel and terminal tackle. We do not have waders and boots to lend.
What if I don’t have waders and boots? In most cases, this is not a problem. Water shoes and an extra pair of pants/socks/shoes and you’ll be just fine.
